I am interested in understanding the biological processes involved in shaping species diversity at various evolutionary time scales under the context of climate change. Using exhaustive genomics, molecular, ecological and morphological data and phylogenetic-phylogenomics approaches, I aim to disentangle the roles of selection, adaptation and life histories in promoting diversification. The extent to which intrinsic and extrinsic traits condition the evolutionary history of organisms is a fascinating and unknown area of research I wish to pursue.

  • Phylogenetic and species diversification
  • Molecular dating
  • Traits-based approaches: modes of evolution, tests for adaptive values
  • Historical biogeography
